Five years on from the passing of UN Security Council Resolution 2286, ‘strongly condemning attacks against medical facilities and personnel in conflict situations,’ patients, medical workers and medical facilities in conflict zones remain at real risk. This online discussion, co-hosted by Médecins Sans Frontières Ireland, the Irish Red Cross and DSA Ireland’s Humanitarian Action Study Group will examine the effect of Resolution 2286 and current threats to patients, staff and healthcare facilities in conflict settings today.

Speakers include Maciej Polkowski, Head of the ICRC Healthcare in Danger Initiative; and Dr Maria Guevara, International Medical Secretary, MSF.
