Empower is a local development company working across Fingal.  We are State-funded and are responsible for a range of programmes to meet the needs of individuals, families and community groups in County Fingal.  Empower are delivering services across Fingal in the areas of Community Development, Health and Wellbeing and Employment Support Programmes. 

We are currently recruiting for the following positions:

Food Poverty Caseworker

The Food Poverty Caseworker will oversee Empower’s food-poverty response in the area of Balbriggan.  Based in the Dublin North HSE Inclusion Health Hub, the role involves liaising with other supporting agencies such as Food Cloud, HSE and Tusla. The role also includes the  purchasing of non-perishable food items, restocking and planning for weekly distribution. The coordinator is responsible for quality control, coordination of food deliveries and collections, monthly statistics and reporting procedures.

This is a fixed term contract for a Full-time Position (35 hours)

Intercultural/Child & Family Project Worker

The Intercultural Child & Family Project Worker will work within the range of child & family services Empower offers, while supporting the work of other relevant Empower programmes.  The role will largely involve advocacy, family support and group work. The worker is expected to work as part of the wider Empower team, supporting service users to engage in the various programmes available, promoting a model of integrated services provision. 

This is a fixed term contract for a Full-time Position (35 hours)

Driver/Caretaker

The driver will be responsible for collecting and delivering Food Parcels for our Food Bank based in Balbriggan. They will assist in the distribution of goods across Fingal and collection from hubs as required. The driver may also be responsible for the closing or opening up of Empower Premises as required.

This is a fixed term contract for a part-time position (14 hours)

All position will be based from our Integration Hub in Balbriggan.
