Diversity Training for HR programme - 13 Sept

Posted on 17 Aug 2021

Migrant Women - Opportunities for Work (Mi-WOW) invites recruiters, HR staff and/or people involved in the hiring processes of companies and organisations to its Diversity Training for HR programme.

Mi-WOW is a project of New Communities Partnership, co-founded by the Government of Ireland and the European Social Fund under the Programme for Employability, Inclusion and Learning (PEIL) 2014-2020.

Ireland is fast becoming one of the most diverse countries in Europe, and people throughout the country are working hard to ensure that our society’s diversity is reflected in the Irish workforce as well.

This is why we have developed the “Hiring for Diversity Training”, with the aim of raising awareness around diversity, inclusion, and multiculturalism and the importance of including these values into recruitment processes. At NCP and Mi-WOW, we believe that the first step towards achieving inclusive and diverse work  environments is to have inclusive and unbiased recruitment processes, where everyone is given equal opportunities; despite their gender, ethnicity, name, accent, or foreign experience/qualifications.

As a migrant organisation led by and for migrants, we have extensive experience of the challenges that migrant people in general, and migrant women in particular, face when trying to relaunch their careers in the country and enter the Irish workforce. We are working hard to help them overcome these challenges and we would like for you to join us on this journey too!

The “Hiring for Diversity Training” is a three-hour training delivered via Zoom and is completely FREE.

The first training is scheduled for Monday, 13 September, 2021 at 2:00pm.
