Digital Advocacy & Engagement with Policymakers (Bar of Ireland VAS Conference: "Speaking for Ourselves"

You are invited to the Bar of Ireland Voluntary Assistance Scheme Conference, "Speaking for Ourselves: Digital Advocacy & Engagement with Policymakers". 

The event will take place on Wednesday 30 September 2020 at 16.00-17.30, and you can register here

The conference if free and it is possible to obtain 1.5 CPD points as a result of attending.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions, and the speakers include:

  • Minister Anne Rabbitte TD (Minister for Disability);
  • Minister James Browne TD (Minister for Law Reform);
  • Philip O'Callaghan (Special Adviser to the Tánaiste); 
  • The Hon. Ms. Justice Úna Ní Raifeartaigh (Court of Appeal);
  • Nuala Butler SC;
  • Maura McNally SC (Chair of the Bar of Ireland).

The speakers will aim to provide insights and practical advice in respect of how you and those in your organisations can seek to influence policy, effectively advocate and persuade your stakeholders, and/or advance your respective causes.
