A Day in the Life of an NGO - 22 Nov
On Wednesday 22 November, William Fry will host “A Day in the Life of an NGO” event from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. as part of Pro Bono week 2023.
This event has always been very popular, as it offers NGOs a legal overview of the most common issues arising from their day-to-day work. The event takes the form of a scripted play in which volunteer lawyers act out a scenario where a civil society organisation is holding its monthly staff meeting.
The ensuing legal discussion (led by a panel of legal representatives from some of Ireland's largest law firms) will cover issues related to employment, charity law, data protection and defamation. There will be lots of opportunities to ask questions and engage with panel members and other lawyers present.
