We’re pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for an Operations Co-ordinator to join the parkrun Ireland team, based in our Dublin office 3 days per week.
Operations Co-ordinator - Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, hybrid working, minimum 3 days per week in the Dublin office.
Salary: €45,000 - €50,000 per annum
The role
This role sits at the heart of the Irish team operations, providing seamless coordination across events, administration, and systems. Acting as a key point of contact, the role ensures queries are managed efficiently, logistics are delivered smoothly, and new event processes are well coordinated, while maintaining strong compliance standards.

Main Responsibilities
Administration & Systems Coordination
● Deliver high-quality general office support, ensuring the team operates smoothly on
a day-to-day basis
● Act as a key point of contact for incoming queries across the ROI team, managing
requests via Zendesk with efficiency and professionalism
● Maintain and update global systems with a high degree of accuracy and attention to
detail
● Support the onboarding and ongoing updates of Ambassadors and Event Directors
(EDs) across ROI.
Events & Stakeholder Coordination
● Respond to and manage event-related queries, ensuring timely resolution and clear
communication
● Support the coordination of requirements for new events, ensuring all administrative
and operational needs are captured and delivered
● Coordinate meet-and-greet events, managing logistics in collaboration with EDs and
Ambassadors across ROI, and ensuring accurate meeting minutes are recorded and
distributed.
Operations, Compliance & Safeguarding
● Ensure all materials and resources are in place to support events and team activities
● Administer volunteer expenses and agreements, ensuring accuracy, timely
processing, and secure record-keeping
● Oversee safeguarding administration, including Garda vetting, record-keeping, and
tracking volunteer vetting and marshal compliance across junior events, in
collaboration with our vetting partner
● Support the ongoing review and improvement of policies and procedures, ensuring
they are clearly communicated and consistently followed
● Uphold compliance standards across all events and operational activities
● Prepare documentation and risk assessments for incidents or cases requiring further
review
Essential experience requirements:
● Strong organisational and administrative experience, with the ability to manage
multiple priorities effectively
● Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
● Experience working across multiple systems with high levels of accuracy and
attention to detail
● Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
● Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
● Calm and adaptable under pressure, with the ability to manage competing demands
● A collaborative, positive approach with strong ownership and accountability
Desirable experience requirements:
● Experience of working with and supporting volunteers
● Experience in events, operations, or coordination roles
● Familiarity with customer support or ticketing systems (e.g. Zendesk)
● Experience working in a community, non-profit, or volunteer-led environment
● Exposure to compliance, safeguarding, or governance processes
● Understanding of the parkrun and parkrun junior operating model
