HUGG - NEW North-West Dublin dedicated suicide bereavement support group

Posted on 26 Sep 2025

HUGG is the national suicide bereavement organisation dedicated to supporting adults bereaved by suicide. We provide FREE practical information and emotional support after a suicide occurs through our website, telephone support line, events, webinars and nationwide suicide bereavement support groups.

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new dedicated suicide bereavement support group in Blanchardstown, North-West Dublin. HUGG Support Groups provide a free, welcoming, non-judgemental space where people bereaved by suicide can connect with others with a shared understanding of suicide loss. Those who attend are given time and space to tell their story, where challenges being faced can be shared as well as precious memories of loved ones, and coping strategies exchanged. All HUGG support groups are led by trained volunteers with lived experience of suicide loss. Being among others who understand this grief can bring comfort, support, and hope

HUGG Blanchardstown is ideally located in North-West Dublin within walking distance to several bus routes and Coolmine station, serving the local community and surrounding areas such as Swords, Castleknock, Ballymun, Clondalkin and parts of Meath, and Kildare.
