Part-time Community and Online Cancer Awareness and Support Services Nurse

Part-time Nurse delivering cancer awareness, education, and support in community, school, corporate, and online settings across the Eastern region

The Marie Keating Foundation is seeking a passionate and skilled part-time Nurse to deliver cancer awareness, education, and survivorship support across the Eastern region. This role involves a mix of community, school, corporate, and online engagement, including presentations, webinars, and mobile unit outreach.

The Nurse will:

  • Deliver cancer prevention, awareness, and health promotion education to individuals and groups.
  • Facilitate survivorship support programmes to improve quality-of-life post-treatment.
  • Record and contribute to data collection, service evaluation, and reporting.
  • Build and maintain relationships with communities, schools, corporate partners, and health professionals.
  • Represent the Foundation in media and public engagement opportunities.

Key Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (NMBI) with minimum 5 years post-registration experience.
  • Availability 8–10 days per month, with flexibility to travel within the Eastern region.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in patient/public education, oncology, or community outreach is preferred.
  • Proficient in digital platforms for virtual engagement (Zoom, Teams, PowerPoint).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Empathetic, proactive, and highly organised.
  • Confident public speaker and team player.
  • Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
