Manager

Shannow FRC currently seeking an experienced and visionary Manager to lead our Centre in the delivery of quality community services and social supports.

This is a full-time role (35 hours/week) offering a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact in a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive community organisation.

Competitive Salary in line with Grade VII of TUSLA Pay Scales

Shannow Family Resource Centre provides a wide range of services, supports, programmes and activities that are focussed on building social connection and promoting and protecting the health, wellbeing, safety, education and economic opportunity for all individuals and families in our catchment area. Some of the services and activities in the centre are: family support, counselling, adult education and activities, children’s camps and activities, and parenting programmes. 

The Manager will be responsible for the daily operations of Shannow Family Resource Centre. They will lead a team of staff and volunteers, ensuring adherence to policies and principles of the centre. The Manager will foster the growth of the centre and deliver on action plans and service level agreements approved by the Board of Management and funders. The Manager will report directly to the Voluntary Board of Management.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior leadership or management role, ideally within the community and voluntary sector
  • A third-level qualification in Community Development, Family Support, Social Care or a related field
  • Demonstrated leadership, planning, and people management skills
  • A proven track record in strategic development, financial oversight, and good governance.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Providing strategic and operational leadership
  • Managing staff and volunteers
  • Overseeing financial and resource management
  • Ensuring compliance with governance and regulatory requirements
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and representing the Centre within the wider community
  • Reporting to the voluntary Board of Directors
