We are looking for an organised, detail-driven Fundraising Administrator.

About the Role Job 

Purpose: The Fundraising Administrator will be a core member of the team who will be responsible for entering fundraising data onto our database arising from our activities, events and campaigns as needed. The person will have responsibility for prompt and professional responses to our supporters and donors across multiple income streams and will assist with administrative support of our Fundraising Team as required. 

Salary: €28,5118 - €33,551 Contract Type: Full-time (37 Hours a week) Permanent Job 

Location: At the offices of Irish Hospice Foundation, currently based on Nassau St., Dublin 2. We have a hybrid work model in place (minimum requirement of 2 days a week in the office, however this role will require an increased office presence, to be agreed with Fundraising Manager depending on work requirements but expected to be a minimum of 3 days a week). 

Reporting to: Fundraising Manager 

Responsibilities: 

Fundraising and Supporter Care: 

  • Support fundraisers and donors in their activities to a high standard of care and to deliver a good return on experience for the supporter.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate receipting / acknowledging of donations and funds received in the post, online and over the phone, in line with our donor care standards and charter.
  • Process data and donations received via fundraising platforms (iDonate, Global Giving, Benevity etc) in a timely manner and assist Fundraising team with management of platforms. 

Data Management:  

  • Organize information, data and materials generated through fundraising events and activities in line with IHF policies, processes and procedures and utilising our CRM (Raisers Edge) as required.
  • Assist the Fundraising Manager and wider team to ensure that we have accurate data management and excellent standards of donor and supporter care.
  • Assist with gathering KPIs and evaluation for reports based on fundraising activities and needs. 

General Administrative Support:  

  • Provide ongoing cohesive administrative support to the Fundraising team as required to ensure operations can run efficiently and all data is fully GDPR compliant.
  • Provide team meeting figures and finances for the Director of Fundraising and assist the Fundraising Manager with compiling reporting as required.
  • Perform routine administrative tasks as assigned by the manager or designated staff member, including supporting the IHF main telephone reception function as required.
  • Assist with administration tasks relating to specific projects, as agreed, as well as assisting the team with delivery of planned Fundraising activities and events, as required.
  • Provide reception cover as required. 

Qualifications and Experience 

IHF is open to applications from candidates who have experience in most but not all the following areas. The successful candidate will be supported through their induction to increase their knowledge and ability to deliver on the responsibilities outlined here. Further training and ongoing support will be available. 

Essential: 

  • Minimum of two years' experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent organisational and administration skills  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fully proficient in MS Office – specifically Excel and PowerPoint.  
  • Ability to manage competing demands and work to tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to multi-task, be self-directed and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team.  
  • A positive solution focused attitude, to support the busy Fundraising team. 

Desirable: 

  • Previous data input work experience (desired)  
  • Experience of working with CRM or databases (desired but not essential)
  • Understanding of GDPR (desired but not essential)
  • Experience or understanding of Fundraising
