Events & Communications Officer

ACJRD is recruiting a full-time Events & Communications Officer to lead the planning and delivery of high-quality events

The Events & Communications Officer plays a central role in strengthening ACJRD as a national network for collaborative, evidence-informed criminal justice policy and practice. The role combines event management, communications, and member engagement to support the organisation’s strategic objectives and amplify ACJRD’s impact.

The postholder leads the planning and delivery of high-quality events — including conferences, seminars, webinars, and working groups — and manages all associated logistics, promotion, and follow-up outputs. They are responsible for delivering clear, engaging communications across digital channels, managing website content, producing newsletters and reports, and ensuring a consistent organisational voice.

The role also supports the growth and engagement of ACJRD’s membership, acts as a key point of contact for stakeholders, and contributes to organisational strategy, partnerships, and day-to-day administration. It requires strong communication skills, excellent organisational ability, and a proactive, collaborative approach aligned with ACJRD’s mission and values.
