Saoirse Domestic Violence Services are looking to recruit a new Director of Services for a two-year, specific purpose contract.
Role Overview

The Director of Services will demonstrate excellent leadership skills in developing and managing integrated care pathways, ensuring effective trauma informed service delivery for all SDVS’s clients. They will ensure the delivery of all aspects of the services are in line with Company values, vision and our Strategic Plan and are responsible for the management oversight of services with attention being paid to quality provision and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
Service Leadership & Strategy
· Lead and manage SDVS services to the highest standards of quality, effectiveness, accountability and innovation.
· Develop and implement operational service plans aligned with the organisation’s strategic priorities.
· Drive service development, growth and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Ensure services remain needs-led, evidence-based and outcomes-focused.
Service Quality & User Voice
· Promote a culture of best practice, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
· Ensure service user feedback actively informs service delivery and development.
· Monitor emerging trends and adapt services to meet changing needs.
Governance, Performance & Compliance
· Report regularly to the CEO and Board on operational performance and service delivery.
· Oversee organisational data systems, reporting, evaluation and KPI monitoring.
· Ensure compliance with GDPR, safeguarding obligations, health & safety standards and organisational policies.
· Lead risk management and governance processes across services.
Finance & Resource Management
· Hold budgetary responsibility for service areas and ensure effective financial oversight.
· Support annual budgeting and resource planning in collaboration with the Director of Finance.
· Assist in securing funding opportunities and supporting sustainable service growth.
· People & Leadership
· Provide strong leadership, supervision and support to service management teams.
· Support workforce planning, employee wellbeing, performance management and staff development.
· Foster a positive, collaborative and accountable organisational culture.
Partnerships & External Relations
· Build and maintain effective interagency and stakeholder partnerships.
· Support relationships with funders and ensure compliance with service agreements and strategic commitments.
· Additional tasks are performed as needed to support the organization’s goals.
What we offer you
· Full-Time, Specific Purpose - 24 months.
· This role is part of the Executive Leadership Team.
· Salary: € 82,245.95 per annum.

· Pension: The company contributes 7% of an employee’s annual salary into the employee’s Pension following completion of the probation period.

· Paid Maternity leave: SDVS top up an employee’s salary to 100% for the period of Statutory Maternity Leave. Employees are eligible after completion of 1 year of service, on the date they go on maternity leave.

Skills & Experience
· Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to support and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
· Experience developing and implementing operational action plans and strategic objectives.
· The ability to role model best practice in trauma-informed service delivery.
· Excellent networking, advocacy and stakeholder engagement skills.
· Effective negotiation, conflict resolution and influencing abilities.
· Experience working with Boards of Management, including reporting and strategic planning.
· Strong knowledge of GDPR, Health & Safety legislation and organisational compliance requirements.
Qualifications
· A relevant third-level qualification (minimum Level 8) in Social Work, Social Care or a related field.
· A professional management qualification.
· A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior management role.
· Demonstrated experience delivering operational and strategic objectives.
· Experience of cross-functional leadership and collaboration.
· Experience in the not-for-profit sector is desirable.
