This role is responsible for delivering excellent supporter care, ensuring accurate donor administration, and coordinating community fundraising activities.

Community Fundraising Officer

Community Fundraising Officer is the first point of contact for local fundraisers, both within Cork ARC and out in the community. Reporting to the CEO, this role is responsible for delivering excellent supporter care, ensuring accurate donor administration, and coordinating community fundraising activities that generate sustainable income for Cork ARC.

Key Responsibilities

Administration

  • Ensure records and income are accurately processed and maintained on Champ.
  • Provide donors with information and support in a friendly, timely, and professional manner.
  • Develop and maintain efficient processes for managing donor data and income, ensuring compliance with GDPR.
  • Administer Cork ARC’s tax-efficient giving programme to maximise income.
  • Create new supporter records, issue personalised welcome packs, and ensure donors feel valued and connected.
  • Maintain and update standard letter templates and supporter communications.
  • Oversee receipt/counting/banking of monies donated to Cork ARC
  • Overseeing/documenting all invoices out and electronic payments in champ 

Community Fundraising Support

  • Act as the key point of contact for community fundraisers, volunteers, and local supporters.
  • Distribute and manage fundraising materials (e.g. buckets, t-shirts, posters, sponsorship forms) and oversee stock control of event packs and promotional items.
  • Support community fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives, providing guidance, resources, and on-the-day assistance when required.
  • Attend events to coordinate collections, manage Cork ARC assets, and participate in cheque presentations.
  • Build strong relationships with individuals, schools, clubs, and community groups to encourage long-term engagement.

Campaigns & Events

  • Support the delivery of Cork ARC fundraising campaigns across multiple channels (direct mail, digital, telephone, mobile, and online).
  • Assist in planning and coordinating donor-focused events throughout the year, ensuring high-quality supporter experiences such as the Cork City Marathon/Womens Mini Marathon
  • Assist with managed events when required.

Digital & Communications

  • Assist in delivering digital marketing campaigns to engage and inspire donors.
  • Work with the admin support to schedule and manage social media posts, ensuring community fundraising activities and donor stories are highlighted.
  • Promote Cork ARC’s services and fundraising initiatives through online channels to reach and engage wider audiences.
