Chief Executive Officer Job Description:

Reporting to the Board, this is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Leader to build on the great work already completed and lead DCM through its next phase of growth.
While you will be accountable for our strategic growth and governance, you will also thrive on being close to the action, leading by example and getting involved when needed, to support the team with operational issues.
 Please see below an outline of the key objectives and responsibilities of the role:
Leadership – Lead and inspire the management team in a supportive way to deliver our vision.
Quality – Deliver quality services through oversight of all regulatory compliance.
Development – Influence and drive the strategic plan for DCM working to achieve the goals set out for the organisation to continue to thrive as an Older Persons Charity.
Finance – Oversee annual budgets and closely monitor financial performance.
 
Responsibilities:
People Management
Support an open, supportive and friendly culture across the organisation delivering on the company’s core values, vision and mission.
Ensure regular touch points with the Senior Management Team and that each role is filled with the skillset required to operate effectively.
Oversee resource management to ensure that sufficient staffing levels are maintained. 

Business Development
Build and develop relationships with the HSE and other partners.
Build brand awareness among potential new employees, residents and families through regular engagement at events and via social media.
Maintain consistency across the brand and messaging.
Deliver on agreed growth targets and strategies.

Quality Assurance
Ensure there is effective quality assurance across all services.
Oversee and assist with the completion of a suite of reports for each subcommittee of the board.
Oversee and regularly review service level policies and procedures.
Monitor IT systems and regularly review how to improve the automation of practices to make service provision more efficient.
Ensure complaints are dealt within the policy timeframe and monitor trends.
Ensure the organisation has a robust data protection policy and procedure to meet the requirements of GDPR.

Finance
Responsibility for budget delivery and financial performance working closing with the Finance Director and management team.
Annual (or more frequent) contribution to budget preparation and forecasting.
With the support of HR, maintain an oversight of internal pay policies and market developments/ trends.
Continually look at opportunity to bring in new income and enhance current profit margin to ensure DCM is financially viable and sustainable. 

Operations / Leadership
Be hands on as required to act as a support for the managers and staff teams across all services.
Have overall responsibility for the delivery of services to our residents / clients.
Be a visible leader that engages well with staff and service users. 

Other
Some on-call responsibilities will be required, commensurate with a role of this level. 

About You
We’re looking for a proven leader who is passionate about leading a high quality, people centred organisation. Someone who recognises that as CEO, you will provide both strategic direction and visible daily leadership across all teams to ensure we maintain our excellent standards of care. The successful candidate will be someone who finds energy in being close to the heart of the work, values strong relationships and demonstrates hands-on leadership in services, ensuring decisions are grounded in the realities of care delivery while embracing DCM’s values and ethos.
You’ll bring:

At least five years’ senior management experience, ideally within healthcare, social care, housing, older persons services or a related service sector.
Strong financial experience particularly in preparing and managing budgets.
Strong commercial acumen, with demonstrated experience in developing organisations to meet market opportunities.
Excellent relationship building and communication skills, with the ability to represent DCM to a range of stakeholders internal and external.
A collaborative, people focused leadership style that motivates and inspires others.
A focus on quality and governance.
A relevant qualification in management, nursing, health and social care (or related field) is desirable.

What you can expect from us:
Summary Terms & Conditions
Accountable to the Board of Trustees and line managed by the Chair of Trustees.
Based between sites and the head office in Mount Tabor, Sandymount Green, with provision also for home working.
Able to work a full time 39 hours per week with flexibly as required including some evening meetings.
Able to travel between sites as required – there are no expenses paid for this travel as they are in close proximity.
Salary in the range €105-€120K depending on experience and negotiable
Eligible for 28 days annual leave plus statutory holidays.
Eligible for membership of the defined contribution pension scheme including a matching employer’s contribution up to 8%.
Eligibility for performance related bonus linked to Company performance and KPI’s.
