St Michael’s House invites applications for the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
The Role
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and management of St Michael’s House, supported by the Executive Management Team.
Eligibility – Essential Criteria
- CEO, Senior Director or equivalent with 5+ years’ senior strategic leadership experience in large, complex, regulated organisations.
- Experience working with Boards and Board Committees, supporting governance and decision-making.
- Strong understanding of the NGO/public sector environment and engagement with Government, funders and key stakeholders.
- Significant experience in corporate governance, regulatory compliance and policy implementation.
- Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and foster a positive organisational culture.
- Track record in strategy development, organisational planning and delivery.
- Strong financial management experience, including oversight of complex funding models.
- Experience delivering large-scale organisational change and transformation.
- Ability to represent the organisation externally, influencing partnerships and sector policy.
- A relevant third-level qualification is essential. A master’s qualification is desirable.
Contract & Terms
- Contract Type: Permanent Contract
- Salary: CEO Band SC4 (Point 1 €129,322 – Point 7 €150,642, pro rata as applicable) Should you have no prior public sector experience you will be placed on point 1 of the pay-scale above.
- Hours: 35 hours per week
- Annual Leave: 30 days per annum
- Location: SMH Head Office, Ballymun Road (hybrid arrangements by agreement with the Chair of the Board)
