Survey: Civil Society Organisations' Experience With the Electoral Act
The Coalition for Civil Society Freedom is calling on all civil society organisations to complete a short survey to gauge organisations' awareness of and experience with the Electoral Act and the body which oversees its enforcement- the Standards in Public Office Commission (SIPOC).
Given the current public health crisis and the increased strain on State resources, dependence on fundraising will become even more vital. The Electoral Act currently imposes funding restrictions on any organisation that engages in advocacy, either by calling for or supporting policy change (even outside of election and referendum periods).
