Support the Annual SunSmart Campaign - Raise awareness of Skin Cancer Reduction
Did you know that Skin cancer is Ireland's most common cancer, with nearly 13,000 cases annually. UV radiation from the sun can damage skin even on cloudy days, increasing cancer risk. However, it's one of the most preventable cancers.
The HSE National Cancer Control Programme (NCCP) and Healthy Ireland launched annual SunSmart campaign on the 1st of April. The aim of the campaign is to remind people of the simple ways they can enjoy the sun safely while protecting their skin from the sun’s UV rays.
You can support this campaign by:
- ·Downloading or ordering and displaying a free SunSmart 5's Poster and/or Facts about Sunscreen Poster
- Check out #SunSmart on social media and share messages as they appear on HSE and Healthy Ireland’s social media channels (links to channels in partner pack attached) or post content to your own channels including #SunSmart
- Share this email with colleagues and friends.
