POSTER

'The families and carers of young people and adolescents facing an intellectual disability have indicated that the services provided for their affected person are in need of improvement.  Improving healthcare systems to better address the needs of these individuals, their families and carers has been identified as a priority in many countries.

We are seeking partners to develop an INTERREG application under the healthcare priority (4) to develop a programme to capacity build the healthcare systems to be better able to address the needs of this target group and then embed this in the systems to ensure better outcomes.  Utilising design thinking to assist in this process, we would hope to partner with healthcare providers, public health agencies and other nonprofits to create improved systems, capacity and outcomes.  Parents Plus has 25 years experience working with healthcare professionals with regard to training and capacity building.
