NEW dedicated suicide bereavement support group based in Carlow

HUGG is the national suicide bereavement organisation dedicated to supporting adults bereaved by suicide. We provide FREE practical information and emotional support after a suicide occurs through our website, telephone support line, events, webinars and nationwide suicide bereavement support groups.

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new dedicated suicide bereavement support group in Carlow. HUGG Support Groups provide a free, welcoming, non-judgemental space where people bereaved by suicide can connect with others with a shared understanding of suicide loss. Those who attend are given time and space to tell their story, where challenges being faced can be shared as well as precious memories of loved ones, and coping strategies exchanged. All HUGG support groups are led by trained volunteers with lived experience of suicide loss. Being among others who understand this grief can bring comfort, support and hope.

HUGG Carlow is ideally situated on the outskirts of the town within walking distance to several bus routes and Carlow Railway Station. We hope it will serve the local community and surrounding areas such as Tullow and Muine Bheag, and parts of Kildare including Athy, Laois including Portlaoise, and Southwest Wicklow including Baltinglass.
