LANDMARK SITES BOOK LAUNCH IN DUBLIN

Europe House at 12-14 Lower Mount Street

TUESDAY. 4 OCTOBER at 6pm

You are cordially invited to the Irish launch of "Jacobs’ EU Guide Book, the Landmark Sites of European Integration". The time is from 6pm on Tuesday 4 October 2022 and the location is the Europe House at 12-14 Lower Mount Street. Pat Cox, former President of the European Parliament and the author of the Foreword to the Guide will be making the introductory remarks.

In Pat Cox’s words “this is a guide book with a difference”. It covers the places of work, places of memory and main personalities in the European integration process, from Jean Monnet to John Hume. Some of the sites and people will be familiar, others less so, and the guide is intended as a voyage of discovery “and all the joy and delight that this holds as our shared European experience is revealed through the places and people traced in its pages”.

The author, Francis Jacobs, worked on the staff of the European Parliament from 1979-2016, and continues to write and lecture, in Ireland and elsewhere, on a wide range of European topics.
