Posted on 4 Dec 2025

HUGG, Ireland’s national suicide bereavement organisation, is dedicated to supporting adults bereaved by suicide. We provide FREE practical information and emotional support after a suicide occurs. We are pleased to announce we have extended our peer support service offering HUGG Walks- a welcoming space where people bereaved by suicide can get outdoors and connect with others who truly understand.

HUGG New Year's Day Walk, 2026

HUGG Walks - a welcoming space where people bereaved by suicide can get outdoors and connect with others who truly understand

While the start of a new year can be a time for hope and renewal, for those of us grieving the loss of a loved one through suicide, this can also be a very challenging time. It is therefore important to embrace self-care activities that will help us navigate the season and support us through this time.

Led by an experienced walker and supported by a HUGG volunteer, each walk offers the benefits of movement, nature and connection.
If you are over 18, you are welcome to come along. HUGG Walks is a safe, non-judgmental space for mutual support and shared understanding.

Our HUGG New Year's Day Walk is taking place in Charlemont Luas stop to Milltown, Dodder Canal, Dublin. Thursday, 1st January, 2026, 10.30am
