Posted on 17 Nov 2025

HUGG, the national suicide bereavement organisation, now offers HUGG Walks: a safe, welcoming space for adults bereaved by suicide to get outdoors, move at a comfortable pace, and connect with others who understand their loss. Each walk is led by an experienced walker and supported by a HUGG volunteer.

Next Walk: Glanageenty Woods Loop, Tralee Kerry

Date & Time: Saturday 22 November, departing 10.30am

Route: This route takes you along its riverbanks and woodlands to listen to singing birds, gurgling streams, and the underfoot crunch of fallen hazelnuts and oak leaves – a paradise of peace and tranquillity. For those with an interest in bird life, ravens, hen harriers, kestrels, pheasants and cranes are all regular sightings. Tree lovers will encounter oak, birch, sallow, hazel, mountain ash, white and blackthorn, sycamore and various types of spruce in abundance.
