Free Whistleblowing Workshops and Integrity at Work Membership Opportunity for Irish Charities

Posted on 9 Jun 2025

Are you a charity or nonprofit looking to better understand your obligations under Ireland’s whistleblowing law — and build a safer, more accountable workplace?

In 2023, Ireland significantly overhauled its whistleblowing legislation, introducing important new duties on employers across all sectors - including the requirement to establish secure reporting channels and follow up on concerns raised by workers.

To support the sector, Transparency International Ireland is offering a series of free online workshops running from March to October 2025, along with a chance for five Irish civil society organisations (CSOs) and charities to receive a complimentary one-year membership in its Integrity at Work (IAW) programme - a specialist initiative providing support, guidance, and training on protected disclosures and workplace integrity.

Whistleblowing Workshop Series (March – October 2025)

Each session is fully online and free to attend. Topics include:
• Duties of charities under the Protected Disclosures Act 2014 (as amended 2022)
• Practical steps for receiving, assessing, and managing disclosures
• Overview of the statutory guidance and TI Ireland’s “Speaking Up Safely” resources.

Next Workshop:

  • Title: Understanding Whistleblowing and Protected Disclosures
  • Date: Tuesday, 17 June 2025
  • Time: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
  • Location: Online (via Zoom)
  • Register here: [Tickets]
