Embracing Workplace Inclusion Course: Now Enrolling to Teach Employment Skills for People with Disabilities
Embracing Workplace Inclusion online course in Rathmines College of Further Education is back for a second year. The aim of the course is to teach people with disabilities with the skills that they need to find employment. Advocates for people with disabilities can also take part in the course.

Course Overview
This 8-week online course is designed for people with disabilities or advocates for people with disabilities to learn practical job search skills, CVs, cover letter and interview tips, and understanding where you want to work and what type of work you want to get. It also covers unconscious bias, building confidence through identifying skills and opportunities, reasonable accommodations, and more. It costs €50 to join and it is open to people worldwide.
Topics and Structure
Participants will benefit from interactive sessions covering:
- Unconscious bias in job searching and personal SWOT analysis
- Core values, reasonable accommodations, and disclosure
- Skills audits, Excel for job searching, and networking strategies
- What organisation do you want to work for, what type of work do you want to do, comfort zones, and managing job searching burnout
- CVs, cover letters, and video CVs
- LinkedIn development, interview tips, and career coaching
- Personal branding, red flags, and onboarding guidance.
Each week features a guest speaker from leading organisations and career support networks, such as Towards Work, Talent Hub, and Career Lab.
Here are the key details:
- The course costs €50 to join
- No exams or assignments but some homework will be assigned.
- There is no job placement or work experience offered at the end of the course.
- I cannot advise on disability, health or immigration status during the course.
- Although aimed at an Irish audience, the course is open to people worldwide
- The course is supported by CDETB disabilities officers.
- You do not need an up to date psychological report to join the course.
It is open to:

- People with and without qualifications
- People around the world
- Both unemployed and employed people.
