CLM are delighted to be delivering an ‘Education Rights: Addressing School Problems’ training on Monday 11 May 10am-1pm online!

Location: Online via Zoom (register here)

This training will cover the following areas:

1.     Education Law and Governance in Ireland

2.     Common Problems Faced in Schools

For example:

  • Special needs education, reasonable accommodation and discrimination
  • Bullying
  • Informal exclusion, reduced timetables and admission refusal
  • Discipline, suspension, expulsion and Section 29 appeals.

3.     Resolving Problems at School Level

4.     Appeals and Formal Processes

5.     Escalating Matters to External Bodies.

Including:

  • The Department of Education
  • Workplace Relations Commission (WRC)
  • Ombudsman for Children.
