Dublin-based charity first to receive ‘Pay It Forward’ 2026 funding

Posted on 2 Mar 2026

Look Good Feel Better Ireland (LGFB), are winners in the first round of the Pay It Forward campaign in 2026, receiving over €2,000 in funds.

Launched in Ireland in 2003, LGFB has spent over 23 years creating a supportive space where participants can connect and feel uplifted and empowered. It’s work includes providing skincare and makeup workshops to individuals undergoing cancer treatment across Ireland. Globally, they have reached over 2.2 million cancer patients with the assistance of over 20,000 volunteers. Donations enable LGFB to pack and post cosmetic kits out to cancer centres for participants, for utilisation during both the workshop itself, and to take home with them afterwards. LGFB’s workshops help with the physical side effects of cancer such as hair loss and skin changes, with the aim to help people face cancer with confidence.

The Pay It Forward initiative, now in its second year, was developed by Ecclesiastical’s parent company the Benefact Group, to empower charities to pass on donations to other causes they believe in. LGFB and further UK recipients in this round will now nominate a charity that is close to their hearts. By the end of April 2026, 25 charities across Ireland and the UK will have received over £50,000 (or euro equivalent) from the Benefact Group.

David Lane, Managing Director at Ecclesiastical Ireland said: “We are incredibly proud to see Look Good Feel Better Ireland become one of the first recipients of our 2026 ‘Pay It Forward’ funding. The work they do to support individuals undergoing cancer treatment — helping them feel confident, uplifted and connected — is truly inspiring and makes a meaningful difference to lives across Ireland.

Pay It Forward is about creating a ripple effect of generosity within the charity sector. By empowering organisations like LGFB to nominate another cause close to their hearts, we are building a chain of giving that will see 25 charities across Ireland and the UK benefit by the end of April. It’s a powerful example of how collaboration and shared purpose can amplify impact.”

Look Good Feel Better Programme Administrator Linda Callinan said: My own experience with LGFB came from a workshop I attended in Dublin following a cancer diagnosis in 2022. The support that they gave me in my time of need, strengthened not only my own confidence, but my values and work ethic towards helping others.

We are grateful to Ecclesiastical Ireland and the Benefact Group for this donation, which will go towards facilitator costs, workshops, and crucial materials, allowing us to continue making a positive difference in people’s lives.”
