Opportunity To Become A Certified Story Exchange Facilitator with Narrative 4 - Free Training Opportunity

Posted on 12 Jun 2020

Limerick-based global youth empathy organisation Narrative 4 is offering a limited number of fully-funded places to teachers and youth workers on its acclaimed Story Exchange Facilitator Training.

The offer is thanks to support of Social Innovation Fund Ireland. The Story Exchange is a methodology that is proven to enhance empathy, expression, wellbeing, and leadership skills and can be particularly useful in opening up a space for reflection while creating a sense of connection among groups. This CPD training takes approximately 8 hours and prepares facilitators to deliver the Story Exchange to students either online or in a room setting.

More information, including a registration form, can be found here.

About Narrative 4

Narrative 4 (N4) is a global network of educators, students and artists that uses art and storytelling to build empathy between young people while equipping them to improve their communities and the world. Narrative 4 was co-founded by the acclaimed Irish writer Colum McCann and is supported by Creative Ireland, the Department of Justice and Equality, Limerick City and County Council, the Social Innovation Fund and other funding bodies.

Narrative 4 works directly with numerous schools and organisations and has worked with groups such as NEPS, Gaisce - the President's Award, Paul Partnership, and Poetry Ireland. More information on Narrative 4's work, including a 2.5-minute video, and  links to coverage of our work in the Irish Examiner, Irish Times, BBC, and The Guardian can be found here

The core methodology, the story exchange, is designed to help students understand that their voices, stories, actions and lives matter, and that they have the power to change, rebuild or revolutionise systems.
