Apply to join a Panel of Self-Employed Professional Workshop Facilitators for HUGG Nationwide
We are seeking expressions of interest from self-employed professional workshop facilitators to join a panel that we can call upon to work alongside artists in delivering creative workshops, as well as other similar creative engagement programmes that may arise in the future.
HUGG is the national suicide bereavement organisation dedicated to supporting adults bereaved by suicide. We provide free practical information and emotional support after suicide through our telephone support line, nationwide suicide bereavement support groups, walks, pop-up cafés, and creative workshops. We also provide information and resources on grief after suicide on our website and webinars.
Our vision is an Ireland where those bereaved by suicide find support, hope and are free from stigma. We provide suicide postvention support services and activities to achieve this vision. Our work aims to break the silence around suicide loss and reduce the isolation of suicide grief.
Throughout 2026 we will deliver several creative workshops nationwide to contribute to our work programme. Our creative workshops aim to:
- Widen access to suicide bereavement peer support using a creative approach;
- Enable people bereaved by suicide to connect socially with others with a lived experienced and shared understanding of suicide loss within a facilitated creative and learning space.
- Empower people bereaved by suicide with a practical and/or creative skill which can offer a sense of achievement and/or support self-regulation and benefit mental health and well-being;
- Widen awareness of suicide bereavement resources, services and supports available.
