Annual Autumn Gathering 12th October Galway and National Community Gardens & Allotments Week 11 to 18 Oct
It's nearly time for Community Gardens Ireland annual Autumn Gathering - it's on Sunday 12th October 10.30 to 4.30 pm!
We're delighted to be hosted by Let's Get Galway Growing in Ballybane Community Resource Centre, Galway H91 VP6D, our first gathering in Galway city. After a morning of talks, discussion and a hearty lunch, we'll have the opportunity to visit TWO community gardens, Ballybane and Merlin Woods, with a led biodiversity walk between them.
Places are limited and tickets, which are being snapped up fast, must be booked via Eventbrite by 5th October so we know how many people to cater for.

As in previous years, we will officially launch our 3rd National Community Gardens & Allotments Week at the gathering, and are delighted to have Cllr Mike Cubbard, the Lord Mayor of Galway in attendance for the launch. Our theme this year is Growing Together.

This year any group that notifies us of their event for National Week will be entered into a draw for a wonderful Grow Your Own Orchard pack worth €150, donated by English's Fruit Nurseries in Wexford (https://www.englishsfruitnursery.ie/). They've also generated a sponsorship form if you'd like to get a local business to sponsor one of their Fruit Orchard packs for your garden - see attached.
