Rural Action Awards Now Open for Applications

The Rural Action Awards are now open for applications, offering rural community organisations the opportunity to secure £1,000/€1,000 towards a project that will make a difference in their community.

The current call will support four rural community projects, with successful recipients selected at random from eligible applications.

The Awards could help your organisation to:

• Improve a shared community space
• Support health and wellbeing
• Purchase much needed equipment
• Bring people together.

The scheme is open to constituted rural community-based organisations across Northern Ireland and the border counties of Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Louth, Monaghan and Sligo, including charities, community groups, sporting and cultural organisations, heritage groups, parent teacher associations, youth groups/clubs and social enterprises.

Projects should be practical, tangible and capable of being completed within 12 weeks.

Closing date: Sunday 20 September 2026.
