The Breakfast Club in Galway - Leadership & Authenticity (9 Apr)
The next Breakfast Club will be help in COPE Galway on Thursday, 9 April 2026 at 10am where we will be discussing Leadership and Authenticity!
Authentic leadership is more than a buzz word. It suggests genuine leaders who are self-aware, who are fully transparent with their teams and whose actions are aligned with their values. Great in theory, but how do we to live these values on the ground?
For instance:
- Are we naturally authentic leaders or does it require work?
- How do we balance vulnerability and authority?
- How can we consistent with our authenticity?
Well, we don’t know, but we found some people who do!
Bridget Kelly is the First Traveller woman to be the National Traveller Policy Co-ordinator for Traveller Employment and Enterprise with the Irish Traveller Movement, and Dearbháil Lawless is the Chief Executive Officer of AONTAS, the National Adult Learning Organisation. We are thrilled Bridget and Dearbháil have some time to join us and talk about their experiences as leaders in the sector embracing their authentic selves as part of their leadership journey.
As always, our event is free to attend and open to anyone at any stage of their leadership journey in the sector.
