Call for Chairperson and Ordinary Members for Policing and Community Safety Authority

The Minister for Justice has issued a call for expressions of interest regarding the roles of Chairperson and Ordinary Members for the board of the upcoming Policing and Community Safety Authority.

This is a unique opportunity for suitably qualified individuals to contribute to the future of policing and community safety in Ireland, and we would appreciate your help in this matter to ensure a diverse pool of qualified candidates for these important roles.

Candidates for the role of Chair should have leadership experience at a senior level, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a knowledge and understanding of oversight bodies and governance.

Authority Members should possess relevant experience in areas such as policing, criminal justice and human rights.
