About the Role
As a Social Care Manager for North Circular Road, you will lead a service rooted in New Directions, ensuring that each person has opportunities to live a self directed, meaningful, and connected life.
You will oversee the day to day running of 197B and 197C Residential Support, delivering high quality, person centred practice in line with relevant standards and best practice guidance. You will cultivate a culture where individuality, autonomy, and personal growth are prioritised.
Working closely with your Regional Manager, you will maintain clear, effective communication to progress shared service goals. In Gheel we apply a very collaborative approach You will also be supported by a professional network, including an Advanced Autism Practitioner, Autism Practitioners, and a Quality & Safety Officer, ensuring access to specialist guidance for you and your team.
You will mentor, coach and lead staff teams to deliver purposeful, person led supports. In partnership with each individual and their circle of support. you will enable person centred planning, helping people to develop meaningful visions for their lives and to identify practical steps to achieve them—whether through community participation, employment pathways, learning opportunities, or personal development.
This role requires a confident leader who champions capacity building, independence, and interdependence, ensuring the level of support naturally reduces as each person’s confidence and skills grow.
With community inclusion at the heart of the model, you will support your team to empower people to make choices that reflect their will and preferences, both within Residential Support and in their local communities.
