The Presentation Sisters invite suitably qualified consultants or organisations to submit applications to undertake an independent review of the Presentation Sisters Inter-Provincial Justice Desk.

Background

The Presentation Sisters Inter-Provincial Justice Desk supports the congregation's commitment to justice, peace, and the integrity of creation by promoting advocacy, education, networking, and action on issues affecting vulnerable people and communities. The Justice Desk is a collaboration of three Provinces located in Ireland and England. 

The review will assess the effectiveness, impact, governance,  and future direction of the Justice Desk in light of the current reality and the congregation's mission and strategic priorities. 

Purpose of the Review 

• Evaluate the current role, functions, and effectiveness of the Justice Desk.
• Assess its contribution to the mission and strategic objectives of the Presentation Sisters.
• Identify strengths, challenges, opportunities, and emerging priorities.
• Review governance, reporting, communication, and stakeholder engagement arrangements.
• Make practical recommendations to strengthen the Justice Desk's future effectiveness and sustainability.

Scope of Work

The successful consultant will be expected to:

• Review relevant documentation, including strategic plans, reports, policies, and related materials.
• Consult with key stakeholders, including Sisters, staff, volunteers, partners, and other relevant participants.
• Assess current activities, outcomes, and organisational arrangements.
• Benchmark, where appropriate, against comparable faith-based or justice-focused organisations.
• Prepare a draft report for feedback and a final report incorporating recommendations.

Deliverables

The successful tenderer will provide:

• An agreed review methodology and work plan.
• A draft report for consultation.
• A final report with findings and practical recommendations.
• A presentation of the findings to the Presentation Sisters' leadership and relevant stakeholders.

Consultant Requirements

Applicants should demonstrate:

• Experience conducting organisational reviews or programme evaluations.
• Knowledge of justice, advocacy, social mission, or faith-based organisations.
• Strong qualitative research and stakeholder consultation skills.
• Excellent report writing and presentation abilities.
• Independence, objectivity, and a collaborative approach.
