Project Worker

The Tower Programme is seeking a Project Worker to support individuals involved in, or at risk of involvement in the criminal justice system

Work directly with clients on a one-to-one and group basis, providing structured support and guidance.

Develop, implement, and review individual support or action plans in line with assessed needs.

Support clients to engage with education, training, employment, health, housing, and community services.

Maintain appropriate professional boundaries while building positive, trusting relationships.

Co-facilitate group programmes, workshops, and activities relevant to social care and criminal justice outcomes.

Support harm reduction, rehabilitation, and reintegration initiatives.

Encourage client participation and progression.

Liaise with probation services, social services, housing providers, education/training agencies, and other relevant stakeholders.

Attend case conferences, reviews, and interagency meetings as required.

Maintain accurate, confidential case records in line with organisational policies and data protection legislation.

Contribute to monitoring outcomes, evaluations, and reports.

Always follow safeguarding and adult protection procedures.

Adhere to organisational policies, procedures, and codes of conduct.

Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of work.

Participate in supervision, team meetings, training, and continuous professional development

Garda Vetting Required.
Salary Scale: €18.41 p/h x 37.5h per week (€35,899.50)
Post Details: Full time post (9-5 Monday to Thursday, 9-4 on Friday) with 6-month probation period.
Pension contribution available.
Annual leave entitlement: 25 days per annum.

Application Details

Relevant qualification in Social Care, Youth Work, Community Work, Criminal Justice, or related discipline (minimum Level 7).

Experience working with vulnerable or marginalised individuals, ideally within social care or criminal justice settings.

Strong understanding of issues such as offending behaviour, addiction, homelessness, trauma, or social exclusion.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Strong report-writing and record-keeping skills.

Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and safeguarding

Knowledge of probation, prison, or post-release services.

Training in areas such as trauma-informed practice, motivational interviewing, or restorative justice.
