ABOUT CHARITIES INSTITUTE IRELAND (Cii)
Charities Institute Ireland (Cii) is the membership and representative body for Ireland's leading professional charities. Cii champions the essential role charities play in Ireland's economy and society, promoting trust through transparency, governance and fundraising excellence.
With a growing membership of more than 330 charities employing over 40,000 people, Cii provides leadership programmes, networking opportunities, research, advocacy and professional development that strengthen Ireland's charity sector. ABOUT THE ROLE
Cii is now seeking a Programmes & Events Manager to lead the operational planning and delivery of its growing portfolio of flagship events, member engagement programmes and sector initiatives. Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Membership & Communications, this is a varied and hands-on role with responsibility for ensuring Cii’s events and programmes are professionally planned, effectively managed and delivered to an exceptional standard.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of events and programmes, managing project plans, budgets, venues and suppliers, speakers, sponsors, delegate communications and event systems. They will also have the opportunity to bring new ideas, improve processes and help Cii continue to enhance the experience it provides to members, partners and event participants.
We’re looking for an experienced events or programme professional with strong project management, organisational and relationship-building skills and experience delivering complex events, conferences, awards or similar programmes. Experience in the charity or membership sector would be an advantage but is not essential, and we welcome candidates who can bring strong transferable experience, fresh thinking and a collaborative approach.
