The Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer will support the effective delivery, coordination, and impact measurement of the NextGen4Peace project.
The Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer will support the effective delivery, coordination, and impact measurement of the NextGen4Peace project. The role requires the developmentg and implementation of a robust monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems to track outcomes, demonstrate impact, and inform continuous improvement of the project.

Key Responsibilities
Monitoring & Evaluation
- Develop and implement the project’s M&E framework aligned with PEACEPLUS requirements
- Design data collection tools (surveys, indicators, feedback mechanisms)
- Collect, analyse, and report on qualitative and quantitative data
- Track outputs, outcomes, and impact against agreed targets
- Produce regular progress reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Support evaluation processes and contribute to learning and best practice
- Other Duties will include providing programme management support and contributing to programme updates and reporting.
Essential Criteria
- Level 7 or above qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field (e.g. social sciences, development, peacebuilding, evaluation)
- Substantial expertise in Monitoring and Evaluation, Data Analysis, and Impact Measurement
- Expertise in both Quantitative and Qualitative Statistical Analysis
- Experience using data tools (e.g. Excel, SPSS, or similar)
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills
- Knowledge of peacebuilding, reconciliation, or community relations in Northern Ireland/Ireland
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Fluency in the English Language (Level C2)
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with EU-funded programmes (e.g. PEACEPLUS, INTERREG)
- Experience working in cross-community or cross-border contexts

Reporting to: Programme Manager
Salary: €42,656.00 – 5-day week
Terms: 4-year fixed term contract
This is a full-time hybrid role. The postholder will be required to attend regular meetings and activities in Belfast, as well as across Northern Ireland and Ireland as part of project delivery.
This role is funded through the Republic of Ireland and as such compensation will be through Euro and inline with terms of the Republic of Ireland.
