South Dublin County Partnership (SDCP) is seeking a Migrant Integration Worker to join our Migrant Integration Team on a temporary full-time or part-time contract until end of December 2026. 

The successful candidate will support the inclusion, wellbeing and participation of people from migrant backgrounds living in South County Dublin, with a particular focus on International Protection Applicants, Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection, refugees and newly arrived communities. 
Working as part of the Migrant Integration Team, the Migrant Integration Worker will provide community-based support, outreach and engagement activities that help individuals and communities access information, services and opportunities. 

The role involves working directly with individuals and groups, supporting community connections, promoting inclusion and working collaboratively with the team, local organisations and service providers. 
Key Responsibilities 
• Support the development and delivery of community activities, workshops, information sessions and events. 
• Engage with individuals and communities from migrant backgrounds to identify needs, provide information and support access to appropriate services e.g. employment supports. 
• Provide outreach and community-based support to promote inclusion, participation and integration. 
• Build positive relationships with migrant communities, local community groups, statutory services and voluntary organisations.
• Support individuals to navigate local services and build confidence in accessing opportunities. 
• Encourage participation in community activities and support the development of connections between new and existing communities. 
• Work in a culturally sensitive and inclusive manner, recognising the diverse experiences and needs of people from migrant backgrounds. 
• Maintain accurate records, complete administration and contribute to reporting requirements. 
• Work collaboratively with the Migrant Integration Team and wider SDCP services. 
• Travel throughout South County Dublin to deliver outreach and community supports. 
• Undertake other duties relevant to the role as required by management. Person Specification Essential
• A relevant qualification in Community Development, Social Care, Social Sciences, Education, Youth Work or a related area, OR equivalent relevant experience. 
• Experience working with migrant communities, refugees, International Protection Applicants or diverse communities. 
• Facilitation skills and ability to design and deliver community activities, workshops etc. 
• Experience supporting individuals and/or groups in a community, voluntary or social support setting.
• Understanding of the challenges and barriers faced by migrant communities in accessing services and participating in community life. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to work respectfully and effectively with people from different cultures and backgrounds. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Good organisational and administrative skills. 
• Excellent written and spoken English. 
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office.
• Full driving licence and access to a car for outreach work. Desirable 
• Knowledge of local services and supports available to new communities in Ireland. 
• Some experience supporting people with employment, education or training pathways. 
• Ability to communicate in another language, particularly languages commonly spoken by those seeking international protection e.g. Farsi, Pashto, Arabic, Urdu, French, Ukrainian, Russian 
• Experience working from a human rights-based and trauma-informed approach. 

Terms & Conditions Post: 
Migrant Integration Worker Temporary Post Location: Post requires outreach work with travel required throughout the service delivery area of South County Dublin (Tallaght, Clondalkin, Citywest, Lucan etc.). Desk based in Mountain Park, Tallaght. 

Reporting to: Migrant Integration Manager & Senior Manager Salary: €35,876- €53,289 (inc. two Long Services Increments) depending on experience. Pro-rata for part-time roles.
