LGBTQI+ Intimate Partner Abuse (IPA) Programme Coordinator

LGBT Ireland seeks a full-time Programme Coordinator to support collaboration, training and systems responses to LGBTQI+ Intimate Partner Abuse.

About LGBT Ireland

LGBT Ireland is the national organisation for LGBTQI+ people and their families. Our ambition is an Ireland where LGBTQI+ people, in all their diversity, can live full, safe, authentic, and celebrated lives. We are working to make Ireland the best place in Europe to be an LGBTQI+ person.

We provide direct services and supports to LGBTQI+ people and their families; advocate for change in policy, legislation and practice that affects the lives of LGBTQI+ people; and provide information, training and raise awareness to support a more inclusive Ireland.

Partnership and collaboration is core to the work of LGBT Ireland, and we work with National LGBT Helpline partners and LGBTQI+ organisations around the country to achieve our mission. Our values of compassion, collaboration, intersectionality and being solution focused, inform all our work.

Role purpose

LGBT Ireland is inviting applications for a full-time LGBTQI+ Intimate Partner Abuse (IPA) Programme Coordinator.

The purpose of this post is to coordinate the LGBTQI+ Community IPA Network and to lead a national programme of work focused on aligning, standardising, and strengthening training, collaboration, and system responses to LGBTQI+ Intimate Partner Abuse (IPA).

The LGBTQI+ Community IPA Network is a national, cross-sectoral network of LGBTQI+ and domestic, sexual and gender-based violence (DSGBV) organisations. The Network works to improve inclusive and coordinated responses to LGBTQI+ IPA through collaboration, training alignment, shared learning, and systems change. It works to support, rather than directly deliver, direct frontline services.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within LGBT Ireland’s motivated and inclusive staff team, contributing to national efforts to improve safety, wellbeing, and service inclusion for LGBTQI+ people

Key responsibilities

Network Coordination
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with members of the LGBTQI+ Community IPA Network and support the further enhancement of strong partnerships across LGBTQI+ and DSGBV organisations
  • Coordinate and support the LGBTQI+ Community IPA Network.
  • Convene and facilitate cross-sector meetings and learning events
  • Maintain monitoring, evaluation, and reporting systems for the Network and its work, including producing reports on Network activity and impact.
Training and resource development
  • Map and analyse existing LGBTQI+ IPA training provision, and collate existing resources
  • Identify strengths, gaps and needs to support the Network to co-develop shared training frameworks and quality standards
  • Coordinate the development and piloting of an LGBTQI+ IPA e-learning module, collating expertise from Network members, LGBT Ireland staff, and external delivery partners
  • Produce, in collaboration with network members, resources and tools to support the Network’s goals.
Community Engagement
  • Work with Network members to identify opportunities for community engagement to raise awareness and reduce stigma about LGBTQI+ IPA.
  • Develop an engagement plan and coordinate the delivery of targeted community engagement and awareness initiatives
  • Develop materials and resources for engagement activities.
  • Monitor and track engagement activities.

Skills and experience

  • Prior experience coordinating programmes or partnerships in community, health, or social services. LGBT Ireland is an equal opportunities employer and measures experience not based on time, but by the quality of experience gained.
  • Strong understanding of LGBTQI+ inclusion and intersectionality
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively across organisations or sectors
  • Excellent organisational, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of DSGBV or IPA services and policy
  • Experience in training, learning and development, or e-learning
  • Experience in evaluation or impact measurement
