Guidance Caseworker

The Guidance Caseworker will work under the LAES programme for Blanchardstown and  Finglas which is managed by the Department of Social Protection.

Empower is a local development company working across Fingal.  We are State-funded and are responsible for a range of programmes to meet the needs of individuals, families and community groups in County Fingal.  Empower are delivering services across Fingal in the areas of Community Development, Health and Wellbeing and Employment Support Programmes.

Empower has one current vacancy. Both Full-time and part-time, flexible working will also be considered.

Guidance Caseworker:

The Guidance Caseworker will work under the Local Area Employment Services programme for Blanchardstown and  Finglas which is managed by the Department of Social Protection and delivered by Empower and DNP.  The role is to provide a confidential employment guidance service.  This will be delivered to a caseload of unemployed clients many of whom are furthest from the labour market.  The role will include the management and updating of a case system. The individual will work as an integrated member of the Blanchardstown and Finglas LAES teams.  The role will be based primarily in either Finglas or Blanchardstown and may involve working between both locations.

This is a fixed term contract for one year for 35 hours per week. Part-time, flexible working will also be considered.
