Safetynet Primary Care
Safetynet Primary Care is a Medical Charity providing services to those in our society most in need of health care but without access to appropriate care. Safetynet innovatively removes barriers by bringing healthcare to homeless people and vulnerable groups in hostels, food halls and drop-in services and by providing a mobile health service to rough sleepers and International Protection Applicants. Safetynet has developed a significant Migrant Health service providing health assessment screening and GP clinics to vulnerable migrants, refugees and asylum seekers. We advocate for an inclusive health system and work towards integration of our patient’s health care into mainstream services.

Capuchin GP Clinic
The Capuchin GP clinic is run by Safetynet Primary Care in close collaboration with the Capuchin Day Centre. The team provide GP services to vulnerable groups who have no access to mainstream services. The clinic attracts many of the Roma community without access to primary care, mainly due to the full time on site Romanian interpreter.
The Capuchin Day Centre’s main purpose is providing meals for the homeless. Dental and Chiropody clinics are also offered, as well as assistance for bereaved families, baby supplies and children’s essentials.
The GP clinics are run Tue – Thurs and includes GPs, Interpreter/Clinic Support and Clinic Admin Support with the full-time Capuchin Clinical Nurse Manager.
Job Summary and Purpose of the role
The Clinic Admin Support will be primarily working with the Capuchin GP clinics and assisting with administration. The position is based in Dublin. The role is key to the development and execution of the Safetynet Health Care Services.
Principal Duties & Key Responsibilities
GP Clinic Support
- Booking appointments and creating and updating patient files on the patient record system.
- Clinic preparation and pre and post clinic administration.
- Dealing with medical post / emails for follow-up and tasking relevant clinicians for review.
- Scanning and filing patient’s results according to Safetynet Protocol.
- Working closely with the team of medical professionals ensuring a first-class delivery of the service.
- Providing excellent customer service to our clients. Our relationship with clients and people that participate in our services is of paramount importance to Safetynet.
- Dealing with requests for medical records according to Safetynet policies.
- Assist with administration – including scanning, photocopying, printing, etc. as required.
Other Responsibilities
- Additional administrative tasks will be assigned appropriately to assist the organisation.
- Undertake the role in a professional manner maintaining a high-quality standard of work, in accordance with the aims, values and ethos of the Safetynet Primary Care.
- Adhere to Safetynet Primary Care policies and procedures.
- Participate in internal/external meetings as required.
- Be an effective member of the Safetynet Primary Care team and participate fully in staff meetings as required.

Particulars of Office
Appointment: Part-time, permanent, pensionable
Probationary Period: Six Months
Annual Salary: €12,593 per annum (€29,384 pro-rata)
Working Hours: 15 Hours per week, Tuesday 9am – 5pm, Wednesday 1pm – 5pm, Thursday 1pm – 5pm
Annual Leave: 10 days per annum (25 days pro-rata)
Location: Based mainly in Dublin 7 (Capuchin Day Centre)
