Innovate Fingal is seeking a General Manager who is committed to community impact, innovation, and enterprise development. The successful candidate will lead the next stage of organisational evolution by expanding services beyond physical workspace and strengthening Innovate Fingal’s role as a hub of entrepreneurial activity across Fingal County.

This role operates at the intersection of enterprise development, innovation and entrepreneurship, community impact, and SME and startup support. The General Manager will lead change, design new services and programmes, build an extended enterprise community, and cultivate strong partnerships across the enterprise and social enterprise ecosystems.

What You Will Lead

  • Development of a new vision for enterprise support beyond physical centres
  • Leadership of a team of ten staff across three Enterprise Centres
  • Collaboration with businesses, founders, and social enterprises
  • Development of new initiatives responding to emerging needs and trends
  • A culture focused on innovation, resilience, and community connection

Essential Skills and Experience (one or more of the following)

  • Experience in enterprise development, innovation, business support, community enterprise, economic development, or related fields
  • Strong leadership and people management experience
  • Strategic development and delivery experience
  • Ability to identify economic and social trends and opportunities
  • Experience securing funding from public, private, or philanthropic sources
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building skills
  • Proven project management and delivery capability
  • Business or programme development experience

Desirable Experience (one or more of the following)

  • Management of enterprise centres, hubs, incubators, or shared workspaces
  • Building collaborative partnerships
  • Experience with public sector partners (e.g. LEOs, Enterprise Ireland)
  • Knowledge of the Irish social and community enterprise ecosystem
  • Background in entrepreneurship, management, or community economic development
