Fundraising Officer
The Fundraising Officer will play a key role in supporting the delivery of AsIAm’s fundraising programme.
The Organisation
AsIAm is Ireland’s Autism Charity based in Blackrock, Co. Dublin. AsIAm is a fast-paced, growing organisation with a vision to create a society where every autistic person is accepted “as they are” – equal, valued and respected.
The organisation’s purpose is to advocate for an inclusive society for autistic people that is accessible, accepted and affirming. AsIAm works to support the Autistic community and our families to fully engage in Irish life and build the capacity of society to facilitate true inclusion.
Role Purpose
The Fundraising Officer will play a key role in supporting the delivery of AsIAm’s fundraising programme. Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, the role will focus on donor care, supporter engagement, and the coordination of community fundraising initiatives and events.
The role will ensure that supporters receive excellent stewardship and communication, while assisting in the planning and delivery of fundraising campaigns and events that build strong relationships with donors and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities
Fundraising Support
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Fundraising Manager in delivering the organisation’s fundraising strategy.
- Assist in coordinating fundraising campaigns and initiatives across multiple income streams.
- Support the preparation of fundraising materials including proposals, presentations, reports, and supporter communications.
- Maintain accurate records of fundraising activity, donations, and supporter interactions within the organisation’s CRM system.
- Assist with tracking fundraising income and monitoring progress against targets.
Donor Care & Stewardship
- Provide excellent stewardship to donors, supporters, and community fundraisers.
- Respond to supporter queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate donor acknowledgement processes including thank-you letters, emails, and impact updates.
- Assist in developing meaningful ways to recognise and engage supporters.
- Maintain regular communication with supporters to ensure they feel valued and connected to the organisation’s work.
Community Fundraising
- Support individuals, schools, companies, and community groups who wish to fundraise for AsIAm.
- Provide guidance, resources, and fundraising packs to community fundraisers.
- Build relationships with local community groups and supporters to encourage participation in fundraising activities.
- Assist with promoting community fundraising opportunities through campaigns and events.
Fundraising Events
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of fundraising events and community engagement activities.
- Support logistics including event planning, registrations, materials, and volunteer coordination.
- Attend events where required to support delivery and ensure a positive supporter experience.
- Assist in evaluating events and capturing insights to inform future fundraising activities.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Maintain accurate fundraising records and supporter information in the organisation’s CRM system.
- Track supporter engagement and event participation.
- Assist in preparing reports on fundraising activity, supporter engagement, and event outcomes.
- Support data management and compliance with GDPR in relation to donor information.
Key Requirements
Essential
- Experience supporting fundraising, events, or supporter engagement activities.
- Experience providing excellent customer or supporter service.
- Experience organising events, campaigns, or community initiatives.
- Strong administrative and organisational experience.
- Ability to communicate highly effectively with a diverse community of people, both in written and verbal interactions
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to build positive relationships with donors, volunteers, and community supporters.
- Strong attention to detail and administrative skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Desirable
- Experience working in the charity or nonprofit sector.
- Experience supporting community fundraising or events.
- Experience using CRM systems or donor databases.
- Understanding of fundraising principles and supporter stewardship.
Contract Duration:
This is a fixed term contract for one-year, with the potential to be extended subject to funding.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary will align with Grade IV of the HSE Consolidated Pay Scale. In addition, we offer:

Working Hours:
The role is typically Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with some flexibility around start and finish times.
The role holder is required to have a degree of flexibility regarding working hours with the expectation of some evening and weekend work.
Location:
The role is based in AsIAm HQ in Blackrock, Co. Dublin. Hybrid working options are available for this role and can be agreed with the line manager subject to the organisation’s needs.
