About the Role

In line with Extern’s strategic plan Vision 2030 and following on from the development of its fundraising strategy, Extern have created the position of Fundraising and Partnerships Manager. The post holder will lead the delivery of its new fundraising strategy, including the development of diversified, sustainable revenue streams from new sources of private funding, including philanthropic donations.

Sitting on the Operational Leadership Team, the Fundraising and Partnerships Manager will take the lead on developing the fundraising function within the organisation across the island of Ireland. 

They will have responsibility for generating income from a range of benefactors, including major donors, philanthropic trusts and foundations and corporate partners. As an ambassador for Extern, they will lead out on campaigns, cultivate and build relationships with new and existing donors, and play a key role in supporting Extern to achieve its mission. 

To take the lead on this exciting opportunity, Extern is seeking a highly experienced, ambitious, enthusiastic and results-focussed fundraiser with a demonstrable track record in building lasting partnerships.
