Location: Remote/Ireland
Salary: €35,000 - €40,000
BACKGROUND:
The Irish Lung Fibrosis Association (ILFA) is a small but rapidly growing charity that supports people with lung fibrosis and their families across Ireland. Lung fibrosis is a progressive, life limiting disease, and ILFA provides education and supports to help and empower those who are affected by it. We also advocate on behalf of our community and engage in research that leads to better healthcare services and other positive outcomes.
In a recent member survey ILFA was rated 8.8 out of 10 for member satisfaction. We have high standards and big plans to achieve an even greater impact for patients in the coming years. To support that growth, we are looking for a Fundraising and Communications Officer to join our small but mighty team!
THE ROLE:
The Fundraising and Communications Officer is an integral part of the ILFA team. Reporting to the CEO and under the mentorship and guidance of the Stakeholder Engagement Lead, this role will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with individual donors and corporate partners to grow fundraising income sources in support of ILFA’s strategic goals. They will help manage existing fundraising channels, develop new income streams and increase public awareness and engagement across ILFA’s communication channels.
The role will suit a results-focused person who has an interest in supporting people facing very challenging life circumstances. It would also help to have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Communications and social media experience is a big plus too. Previous fundraising experience would be an advantage, but this role would also suit someone with a background in sales, marketing or business development.
