Empowering Communities – Community Development Worker
We are recruiting two part-time (17.5 hrs/week) Community Development Workers to support the Kings Island community.
Limerick City Partnership CLG is an organisation made up of communities, state agencies, social partners, voluntary groups and elected representatives. It works with communities that have benefitted least from economic and social development and aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of people living in communities in Limerick City.
We are recruiting two Empowering Communities – Community Development Workers to join our team. The roles will work with the Kings Island community, local organisations, community groups, schools, and statutory and voluntary agencies to develop and deliver community-led projects and initiatives that promote social inclusion, engagement, health and wellbeing. The role involves supporting local residents, building community capacity, and ensuring initiatives reflect local needs and priorities.
Contract: These are part-time contracts, subject to the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period. Upon successful completion of probation, a contract of indefinite duration will be offered, subject to continued funding.
Working Hours: Part-time, 17.5 hours per week.
Salary: €43,793.67 - €53,474.23 Pro rata.
What we are looking for: The ideal candidate will have a relevant third level qualification and experience in community development, project design and delivery, and community engagement. They will have strong communication and organisational skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to supporting communities experiencing disadvantage.
