The Daughters of Charity Child and Family Service (DoCCFS) is a not-for-profit public service organisation. We provide a range of therapeutic supportive services to children and families, based in the greater Leinster area. 

Our Services include an Early Childhood Development Service (ECDS), Family Centre Service, Dublin & Louth Safer Families Service and Assessment Services.  

Safer Families Service works with families where there is Domestic, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence. The service works with both victims and perpetrators, delivering systemic, trauma-informed interventions.
Dublin Safer Families Service operates across Dublin City and North City, while Louth Safer Families Service operates across County Louth, working closely with Tusla Social Work Departments and other relevant agencies.

We are currently seeking motivated and experienced professionals to join our teams in the following roles:

Family Worker

Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available

Salary: Up to €50,480 per annum (pro rata for part-time roles)

Role Overview

The Family Worker will provide therapeutic and practical support to families affected by domestic, sexual and gender-based violence. The role involves assessment, intervention, safety planning, and ongoing family support in collaboration with statutory and community partners.

Essential Criteria / Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline (e.g. Social Work, Social Care, Psychology, Counselling or related field).
  • A minimum of two years’ experience providing therapeutic support to families, and ideally to children aged 4–18 years.
  • Experience working within a trauma-informed and family-centred framework.
  • Experience using mechanisms to evaluate outcomes of work.
  • Experience with case management and file-keeping software (e.g. Salesforce) is a distinct advantage.
  • Additional qualifications in the provision of therapeutic supports will be a distinct advantage.
  • A full valid driving licence is required.

Manager

Salary: from €68,533 per annum

Role Overview

The Manager will provide leadership and operational oversight of the Safer Families Service, ensuring high-quality service delivery, effective staff support, strong interagency collaboration, and compliance with organisational and statutory requirements.

Essential Criteria / Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline (postgraduate qualification desirable).
  • A minimum of two years’ experience providing therapeutic support to families, ideally including work with children aged 4–18 years.
  • A minimum of two years’ management experience, including staff supervision and service coordination.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of domestic, sexual and gender-based violence and trauma-informed practice.
  • Experience using outcome evaluation frameworks and file-keeping / case management systems (e.g. Salesforce).
  • Additional qualifications in therapeutic practice will be a distinct advantage.
  • A full valid driving licence is required.
