Digital Officer
The Centre for Cross Border Cooperation seeks a Digital Officer for its €1.3 million PEACEPLUS-funded Border People FLOW project to manage online platforms.
The Role:
The Digital Officer post will result in the successful provision of online cross-border information suitable for cross-border workers and employers, and people with cross-border lives.
Responsibilities:
Working closely with the project team, the Digital Officer will:
- Gather evidence of the demand for cross-border information, for example
- Collate website statistics, track usage and trends, and measure the user experience
- Gather Discussion Forum statistics, track public membership and engagement.
- Analyse social media data to identify the reach of the online information shared.
- Manage content on the project website, Facebook group and YouTube channel.
- Prepare and implement a development plan for the website and the project’s online presence.
- Monitor relevant project activities, prepare monthly updates for the Project Steering Committee, and assist in the preparation of regular reports for the funder (SEUPB).

Education:
- Honours Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant discipline AND 2 years’ demonstrable relevant experience OR
- 5 years’ demonstrable relevant experience where a relevant qualification is not held.
Competencies:
- Experience of updating websites.
- Experience of managing online platforms for an organisation or project.
- Experience of uploading content to YouTube and Facebook Groups.
- Experience of editing video clips.
- Experience of preparing progress reports for management teams.
- Experience of using Zoom and or MS Teams.
- Experience of using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams).

- Readiness to work cooperatively and supportively, and to strict deadlines, as part of a small, dynamic team.
- Willingness to work flexibly to meet the requirements of the post.
Special factors:
- Willingness and ability to travel to meetings and events in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
- Access to a car or other suitable form of transport (if it is necessary to meet the essential requirements of the post).

- Experience of using WordPress.
- Experience of preparing website development plans.
- Experience of the community and voluntary sector.
- Experience of working on cross-border projects.
- Strong commitment to and understanding of the value of cross-border and all-island co-operation, and a strong belief in the value of such cooperation as a key part of the movement towards peace and reconciliation in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
