Development Worker

This position offers an opportunity to work in a feminist community development Project that supports women’s equality and women’s well-being.

Women's Collective Ireland -  North Leitrim are recruiting for the Development Worker, Part – Time position, 17 hours per week office based at WCI North Leitrim Women’s Centre, Manorhamilton, F91 HCD9

Employed by the WCI Board of Directors, the Development Worker is responsible for the engagement in community development work within WCI N. Leitrim and to facilitate and support development, well-being, training, and networking of women in the local area.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in community development working within the sector.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and administration skills.   
  • An understanding of grassroots feminism. 
  • The ability to outreach and engage with women in the local area. 
  • The ability to identify the relevant training, supports and needs of women in the area.
  • The ability to assist with the planning and the delivery of relevant programmes within WCI North Leitrim.
  • The ability to network with other community organisations to support women’s participation.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.

The salary for the post is based on the starting point of WCI Development Worker Salary Scale - €35,245 (pro rata)
