Background
The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) is a non-profit organisation founded in 1985 to provide specialist, free of charge support for people living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and their families and carers in Ireland. It is the only Irish organisation solely dedicated to this purpose, providing support for over 650 individuals and family members annually. With over 470 people living with MND in Ireland, the demand for services is constantly rising.
Following a strategic fundraising review in 2025, IMNDA is now implementing an exciting fundraising strategy which will enable the organisation to increase sustainable income through a new and highly focused approach.
The Role
IMNDA is seeking a Corporate and Major Donors Lead to join a highly skilled, committed and collaborative team to lead its corporate and philanthropic activity. Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the successful appointee will also work closely with the CEO and teams across the organisation as well as external stakeholders including corporate partners, trusts and foundations, major donors, ambassadors, and volunteers.
This exciting new role will be central to delivering IMNDA’s strategic objectives and offers huge scope to shape and develop a Major Giving Programme and grow corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations and philanthropic gifts. Specific responsibilities will include the establishment of a qualified portfolio of prospects; the development of a structured trust and foundations calendar, the creation of tiered corporate engagement offerings, and the introduction of systematic processes for proposals, stewardship, and reporting.
The ideal candidate will be warm, empathic and focused, bringing demonstrable success in income generation through corporate fundraising, major giving and/or business development, with strong stakeholder management experience; excellent business development instincts, exceptional communication skills and a strong alignment with IMNDA’s purpose and values.
Experience in the non-profit sector as well as an established network of corporate and philanthropic links would be an advantage.
If you are passionate about IMNDA’s mission and meet these requirements, we would love to hear from you.
